Spotify Motion Mode

Spotify may have a driving mode for users who connect their devices to a car radio but this mode is still limited in its accessibility. The driving mode is only available when operating a vehicle and is not an option offered for users who are on the move who need to scan or navigate the Spotify app more quickly. Spotify’s dark-mode only platform is still considered an accessibility issue, especially for those who are in motion while using the app. We created a motion mode that can be used for multiple types of movement which can be seen in our video below. This mode makes navigating while in motion simpler and easier to do than the regular Spotify app and has more abilities than Spotify’s driving mode. We have also created the option to customize Spotify’s colour while using the app in motion mode to be more accessible while moving and creates a more personalized space for the user.
